We asked 500 consumers if they would use the US Post Office for banking related services if they offered them. The results were not surprising. Over 75% said they wouldn’t.

In fact, when we looked at income levels of the respondents we found that the lower the income bracket, the less likely they were to use the USPS. When we looked at the region of the respondents it appears that those in the Northeast are most likely to find this type of service to be appealing.

It looks like the USPS would face an uphill battle in making banking services something that consumers are interested in performing at a Post Office.
